I’m Teri and I’m here to guide you through the transformative journey of menopause.¬†

I am a Licensed Menopause Champion as certified by Menopause Experts Group and I am proud to be working in their partnership.

Having experienced menopause during covid, and not finding relevant relief, I understand the unique struggles professional women face during this phase of life.

Feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life and work, as well as constantly running low on energy, I started doubting myself and questioning if I was enough. Negative self-talk only made things worse, adding to my stress and leaving me feeling mentally and physically drained.

Despite countless visits to doctors, I still felt lost. This led me to research my symptoms and find relief for what I was experiencing. As I talked to friends and family in my age group, I found I was not alone.

Even renowned gynecologists like Dr. Mary Claire Haver, author of “New Menopause: Navigating Your Path Through Hormonal Change With Purpose, Power, and Facts,” have highlighted the lack of support for menopausal women in modern healthcare practices.¬†

While I’m not a medical professional myself, I’ve personally experienced menopause and can help you prepare questions for your doctor and advocate for a holistic approach to your health. Additionally, I draw upon research to suggest remedies that we can all incorporate to make this phase of life more fulfilling.

I named my business Fork and Fine rather tongue in cheek.

  1. Fork: Food is like medicine for the soul, right? Nourishing ourselves is key to feeling our best. My own journey improved once I started changing the way I eat. 80% of how you feel is linked to food.
  2. Fine: Because thats what we are! Not to get caught up in comparisons, especially of how we used to be. I felt fine just as I was, and wanted all women to feel the same. Acceptance of our own self is the key to good health and a happy life.

 

I am your typical woman in her 50s, going through the daily challenges of real life. From managing work responsibilities to taking care of my family, I strive to find a sense of balance and live my life to the fullest. Throughout my personal journey, I have come to recognize that life isn’t always a smooth ride. We encounter hurdles, setbacks, and moments of doubt. Together, we can celebrate life’s joys, find strength in one another, and navigate the complexities of this phase with resilience and grace.
